Description

Enjoy a trip from Sheepscot to Alna Center station just before sunset. At Alna Center, enjoy a bonfire, watching the sunset, and a presentation on narrow gauge railroading by WW&F Railway superintendent Jason Lamontagne. Snacks and refreshments will be available for purchase on site. After sunset the train will depart Alna Center amidst the warm glow of oil lamps for a unique steam train ride through the darkness back to Sheepscot. Regular fares apply ($10.00 adults/$5.00 children 12 & under/Free children 3 & under) Advance tickets (available at wwfrytickets.simpletix.com) are recommended, but not required. However, we cannot guarantee space on the train without an advance ticket. Tickets are refundable up until 24 hours in advance. Train departs Sheepscot Station, 97 Cross Rd. Alna at 6 PM. Arrive 20 minutes prior to departure to ensure a relaxed boarding experience. The Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway Museum, Inc., is a non-profit organization established in 1989 to acquire, preserve, and restore the operation of narrow gauge railroads and equipment which operated in the Sheepscot Valley and on other roads and to establish a Museum for the display of artifacts for enlightenment and education of the general public concerning the social and economic impact of railroads on the communities served. All of the proceeds generated by these events will be used to support the Museum's mission and projects preserving the WW&F Railway.
